At the outset, as the dean of Institute of Science and Technology (IoST), Tribhuvan University (TU), I would like to extend my warm greetings to our students, esteemed faculties, staff, and stakeholders. IoST is one of the largest and pioneering technical institutes of TU offering higher education in different areas of Science and Technology. The academic programs includes bachelor’s degree, master’s degrees, M.Phil., Ph.D. degrees, and Post Doctorate programs in different subjects. It offers the courses in wider areas of science and technology from basic science to recently emerging subjects such as Data Science, Computer Science & Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences focusing on Actuarial Science. In the long journey of providing higher education in Science and Technology in Nepal, IoST has been contributing by producing quality graduates and post graduates; majority of whom have served the nation in different capacities. Despite many constraints, the institute has continuously strived to impart quality education and offer diverse research opportunities. Our mission is to empower students with the knowledge and skills to independently address relevant problems and to establish the institute as a Center of Excellence for tertiary education and innovation in Science and Technology in Nepal.
IoST attempts to strengthen student centric pedagogic process, research capabilities of students and faculties, standardization of the examination questions, and scientific evaluation process for answer book examination. It values the involvement of various subject committees, campus chiefs and expert faculties in relevant fields while strategizing to achieve these objectives. Besides, it is truly committed to shorten the time duration for the publishing of results after examinations.
As the Dean of IoST, I pledge to uphold academic integrity, transparency, and good governance while working within the framework of Tribhuvan University's regulations. I humbly request you all for your support, cooperation, and constructive suggestions for the betterment of the institute.
